1.Prepare the Leeks & Aromatics :Wash and slice.

Thoroughly wash the leeks to remove any trapped sand or dirt between the layers. Trim off the green top leaves and cut the tender white/light green stalks into 4–5 inch segments.

2.Assemble the Herb Core :Layer the herbs.

Place a few sprigs of fresh parsley, celery leaves, thyme, and a bay leaf inside a halved leek segment or wrap them tightly within the green leek leaves.

3.Bind with Kitchen Twine :Secure the bundle.

Wrap food-safe kitchen twine tightly around the bundle multiple times and tie a secure knot. Leave a long tail of string attached to the knot so you can easily anchor it to the handle of your cooking pot.

4.Simmer and Remove :Cook and discard.

Add the bouquet garni directly to your soup, stock, or stew at the beginning of the cooking process. Allow it to simmer with the dish, then pull it out using the string tail right before serving.
