Ingredient Quantity
Pecan halves (lightly toasted)

2 cups

Milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 1/2 cups

Coconut oil (or unsalted butter) 1 tsp
Sea salt flakes (optional garnish) 1/2 tsp

Instructions

1.Prepare the Tray :Step 1.

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

2.Melt the Chocolate :Step 2.

Combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a heat-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely smooth and melted.

3.Combine with Pecans :Step 3.

Fold the toasted pecan halves into the melted chocolate until all pecans are thoroughly coated.

4.Portion the Clusters :Step 4.

Spoon tablespoon-sized mounds of the chocolate pecan mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes if desired.

5.Chill and Set :Step 5.

Place the tray in the refrigerator for 20 minutes (or freezer for 10 minutes) until the chocolate sets firm. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Chef’s Tip: Toasting the pecans for 5 to 7 minutes at 350°F / 175°C before coating them in chocolate drastically improves their flavor and crunch.
